David Rivera has an extensive career in transportation planning, design, construction, and operations spanning nearly three decades in the public and private sectors throughout Florida. He currently serves as the Managing Principal of Transportation services at WilsonMiller, Inc., where he is responsible for all transportation planning, design, and construction engineering services offered by the Firm.

David’s credentials include several senior management positions with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), including Director of Operations for the Jacksonville District (2) and Director of Production for the Miami District (6).

He has been involved in all aspects of transportation in Florida, both technically and geographically, and is a recognized expert in the areas of geometric design of complex highway systems, traffic engineering, project development, environmental studies, and transportation planning. Through this diverse experience, David has honed exceptional communication skills, particularly in public forums, where an explanation of technical details in an easily understood manner is required.
