Mike Maxwell has been responsible for boundary, topographic, and jurisdictional surveys, as well as construction stake-out for several thousand acres of land in southwest Florida. He has managed major surveying projects for private clients and governmental agencies that include Collier County, City of Key West, South Florida Water Management District, and Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
Mike was the Principal-in-Charge of a 10,700-acre boundary, topographic survey, and design services for the development and permitting of the Ave Maria University. He was also the Project Surveyor for design, construction, and platting of Grey Oaks – one of Collier County’s premier residential developments.
Recognized for his professional and community achievements, Mike was named in the “Ten Men of Distinction”, N Magazine and the Education Foundation in 2008. He was voted Florida Surveying and Mapping Society’s (FSMS) Surveyor of the Year, for 2001-2002; FSMS Collier-Lee Chapter President of the Year in 1995; FSMS Outstanding Professional Award for Civic Contribution in 1999. He also received the Certificate of Appreciation from Osceola Lodge, Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts as well as serving as the Chapter Advisor for Order of the Arrow, Boy Scouts of America from 1999-2004. He served as Chairman for The Education Foundation of Collier County (EFCC) from 2005-2006; Chairman of the Golden Apple Teacher Recognition Awards from 2004-2005; and Chairman of the Board Emeritus Council for the EFCC.
