Fermin A. Diaz has overseen an impressive period of growth for this multi-disciplinary planning, design and engineering company. He has been instrumental in guiding WilsonMiller through design, permitting, project management and services during construction of a multitude of private and public sector projects throughout Southwest Florida. A highly visible leader in the community, Fermin offers his time, talent and financial support to a host of activities, as well as business and professional organizations locally and statewide. He helped establish the scholarship programs of the Florida Engineering Society and Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers, as well as co-founding the Engineering Leadership Institute. He has been an active member of both organizations for more than a quarter-century. He has also been elected as a Fellow of The American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) and Fellow of the Florida Engineering Society (FES). A caring, forceful leader, Fermin considers WilsonMiller employees the firm’s strongest asset. He has made a special commitment to teach younger engineers the value of their profession and skills and the impact both have on the environment and the public. He instituted a structured training program at WilsonMiller and strongly supports continuing education.
