Al Reynolds has been an instrumental part of WilsonMiller’s growth and diversification from a single engineering office to its current position as one of the nation’s top-ranked design firms.
Among the many recognitions WilsonMiller has earned during his term as CEO is being listed four times on the Hot Firm - 100 Fastest Growing Design Firms in the US, and recognitions for Best Place to Work, Family Friendly Firm, Corporate Philanthropy, and ULI Award of Excellence.
Al’s areas of expertise include environmental design, land use planning, strategic plans, stewardship, and community design. He has served as the principal planner for more than 100 communities, a number of which have been recognized as among the best examples in the nation of integration of the natural environment with sustainable development. His expertise in environmentally sound development led to the creation of Florida’s first Rural Land Stewardship Plan. He has recently served as the Principal Planner of Ave Maria New Town and University and the Town of Big Cypress—both planned under rural land stewardship principles, and Babcock Ranch, the largest single conservation acquisition in Florida history.
Al contributes his time to a wide array of professional, civic, educational and cultural organizations. He has served as chairman of the Leadership Florida’s Southwest Florida Region and served on Leadership Florida’s Statewide Board of Regents and Leadership Institute Advisory Board. He is a long time member of Florida Chamber Board of Governors, has served as a director of the Housing Partnership for Collier County, Inc., and as a member of the Collier County/City of Naples Joint Affordable Housing Commission.
