Experience. Innovation. Expertise.

Building on the solid foundation established in 1956 by company founder Bob Wilson — one of the pioneers who charted the route for the Tamiami Trail through the Everglades — WilsonMiller has evolved from a local consulting firm with a small staff into a multi-disciplinary planning, design, engineering, ecology and mapping company with a staff of over 300. In 1961, Raymond W. Miller, P.E., joined W. R. Wilson & Associates, now known as WilsonMiller. Ray spent his entire 35-year professional career with the firm, having served as President and CEO, and growing the company from one office to four with a total of 250 employees when he retired in 1996.

Founding partners William Barton, P.E., and Thomas Peek, P.E., joined the firm in 1969 and 1973 respectively—ultimately forming the union known as Wilson, Miller, Barton & Peek. Working together with CEO Ray Miller for nearly 30 years, a unique relationship developed among the three partners, and each lent his special focus on growing the firm’s operations and project credits. In 1999, a leadership transition took place with the retirement of the founding partners, and the firm identity was simplified to WilsonMiller, Inc., to reflect the long-term history and success this leadership produced.
